| Abstract:Myricaria Desv. is an important resource genus with ecological and economic values. Here, we briefly reviewed past advances in the taxonomy, phylogenetic relationship, endophytes, breeding characteristics, conservation and medicinal ingredients of Myricaria plants. We also suggested a series of further study strategies for key issues in this genus, such as species delimitation, phylogeographical history, plant endophytes, adaptation mechanism, phytochemistry and pharmacology. These excellent studies provide essential base for the efficient utilization of wild resources as Myricaria. |
